Brock will mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women Tuesday, Dec. 6 with a public ceremony in the atrium of the Rankin Family Pavilion.
The ceremony, scheduled for 9 a.m., will honour and remember the 14 women lost in the tragic 1989 shooting at Montreal’s École Polytechnique (now called Polytechnique Montreal).
The event is part of Brock’s 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, which began Nov. 25 with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The campus community is also invited to a panel discussion reflecting on five years of the #MeToo movement, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Sankey Chamber.
